Advanced Bleeding Control
Traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 years of age in the US. A large portion of those deaths are from severe bleeding, which is unfortunate because it is also the most treatable cause of death due to trauma. American Safety & Health Institute’s Advanced Bleeding Control is designed to provide detailed information on the control of severe external bleeding, including the use of direct pressure, commercial pressure bandages, tourniquets and packed dressings. This healthcare training course takes you beyond the basics of typical first aid classes and can help you save a life whether you’re at the hospital or on a hiking trail.
Intended Audience
This healthcare training program is for groups and individuals who have a greater-than-average chance of witnessing an injury event in which heavy bleeding occurs, specifically during a situation where professional medical care (such as law enforcement, private security, or workplace emergency response team personnel) is overwhelmed or not readily available. Such bleeding control and first aid training is an excellent lifesaving skill to have at big events (concerts, marches), on campuses, or in large occupied buildings.
